I sought to capture and portray the peaceful relationship between mothers and babies which is evident in this image, facilitated by the soft lighting under the roof of their dwelling. Around the age of three, children start to move around the house more, and parental supervision takes place from a greater distance. Until then, they accompany their parents or grandparents on daily chores, often hanging off their bodies in swaddling cloths.
